Andrew Mount’s Daily Racing Preview – Carlisle & Worcester Racing Analysis for Sunday 1 November

Jumps action at Carlisle, Huntingdon and Worcester headlines Sunday’s racing in Britain, with the Listed Colin Parker Memorial Intermediate Chase at Carlisle, while the Group 3 Loughbrown Stakes is on the card at the Curragh. Andrew Mount has horses to watch at both Carlisle and Worcester at lunchtime.

12.38 Carlisle – We’re Red And Blue (2pt win – 3/1 bet365)

We’re Red And Blue completely bombed out at the Punchestown festival but he was 16-1 and was running in a field of 21 runners, having shown a strong preference for much smaller line-ups. The Jonjo and A J O’Neill-trained six-year-old has form figures in fields of ten or fewer runners of 121111 (4-6), with the first defeat a 22-1 second (beaten by a length and a half) behind Wade Out (now rated 142) in a Uttoxeter novices’ hurdle and other behind Williethebuilder in a hot handicap hurdle at Kempton where the winner challenged on the better ground against the near side rail. He runs well right-handed with cut in the ground and is worth backing on his chase debut. This trip looks on the sharp side for main market rival Fisher Lane, having his first run for Dan Sjelton after leaving Willie Mullins, and We’re Red And Blue has run quicker than that one according to Proform’s speed ratings.

12.45 Worcester – Happy And Fine (1pt win – 20/1 bet365)

Happy And Fine has failed to score from 12 starts in the January to April period (form figures of 833PF22PUPU4), beating only 27.7% on his rivals but his other runs, which have all taken place in November, have yielded form figures of 373113114F41 (5-12). In handicaps below Class 2 level the score improves to 7311311441 (5-10) for a profit of £16.25 to a £1 level stake at SP (+£18.10 at Betfair SP, expected wins = 1.65, A/E = 3.03). Neil Mulholland’s nine-year-old was pulled out of an intended run here last month as the ground wasn’t deemed soft enough but he’s worth a bet now in the hope/expectation that his trainer will pull him out if it dries up too much.
