In Class 3 or lower company only, the score is 11211 (4-5), with the sole defeat by just threequarters of a length on his hunter chase debut at Wincanton in late January.
Olly Murphy’s ten-year-old was revitalised by that spell in hunter chase company, runs well when fresh and can give his younger rivals a run for their money when he reappears in this 3m Class 3 handicap chase.
7.30 Southwell – Yordan (1pt win – 3/1 Sky Bet, Paddy Power, 11/4 generally)
There’s a couple of runners I want to oppose in this 6f Class 4 handicap – Town Queen, who looked flattered from her high draw when landing a fillies’ handicap over 7f here last time and bombed out completely at Carlisle when taking on male rivals over this trip at Carlisle on her penultimate start, and Return Of The Gods, who is poorly drawn in stall 2 and was well drawn on the far side when scoring over a straight 6f at Redcar last time in a race that has not worked out.
The Kevin Ryan-trained Yordan, whose record on Tapeta stands at two wins from two starts by a combined margin of more than nine lengths, looks the best alternative and is well drawn in stall 8.
