1:45pm – IMPERIAL SACHIN’S
Picked up just the single victory in twelve for Gordon Elliott, before switching to Fergal O’Brien’s yard and finding a new lease of life, with two wins in two starts for his new home. Both victories came at Uttoxter last month (2m 7f and 2, 6f), firstly finshing 11 lengths clear of You Name Him, before Hereditary Rule by 1.25 lengths, when stepping up in level. Goes in as favourite here, with Jack Hogan’s claim 8lbs claim proving to be invaluable once again.

2:45pm – FLYING VERSE
Seven wins and eleven places for this 10-yo, with the last of those victories coming at Kelso back in October of last year. Has raced in small field events since, with little success, other than a second of five at Newton Abbot (3m 2f, good) back in May, when no match for winner, Sizing Cusimano. However, this David Dennis runner looked improved on his first run since wind surgery, placing second of nine at Stratford last month (2m 6f, good), just half a length adrift of Cardboard Gangster. Looks back to his best and having won this race last year off of 5lbs higher, has strong claims once again.
3:45pm – ZAMOND
just a single win in sixteen races, but looked to be at his best, when grabbing successive seconds at Fakenham (2m, good) and Uttoxter (2m, good) in the Spring. After a brief 50 day break, he returned to finally add another careeer win to his CV, when beating Couer Aimont by a neck at Cartmel (2m 1f, good), some five weeks ago, in a strong performance. Donald McCain’s charge has more to come you feel, off the back of the recent form and another victory is possible in what looks to be a very competitive contest.
