The first half of this enhanced double from Ireland brings Black Tears as the odds on favourite for this two mile Maiden Hurdle at 2:50pm. The Gordon Elliott trained horse has won once and finished second on four occasions in five career starts, including Punchestown a fortnight ago. There is plenty of class here and a second victory looks very possible here, with Earth Day the potential spoiler.
Later in the 4:25pm race, this two mile NH Flat Race, features another odds on favourite in Andy Dufresnse, with plenty expected of this Gordon Elliott / JP McManus combined runner. A winner at point to point, this will be their first race under rules, so it will be interesting to see how he shapes up, with a great chance of bagging a victory here, although Golden Spread is very much one to fear.
