Comes in 4lbs worse off than that win, while testing conditions could cause an issue for this talented runner. Still looks capable of bagging a place at least

Has placed in Group company this year, including the Lancashire Oaks at Haydock (1m 3f, soft) in July, albeit 5.5 lengths behind Manuela De Vega. Picked up a victory in latest at Goodwood (1m 6f, good to soft) in a Class 2, winning this small field race by 5.5 lengths. RPR of 108 is a best ever for this David O’Meara runner and amongst listed company today, has a strong chance of being in the mix, come the judge.

4:10pm Wetherby (4 Places) SCHIELLION MUNRO – 6/1
Solid hurdler, who has taken to fences instantly, winning three of four chase starts, including the last two runs at the beginning of the year, firstly at Newcastle (2m, soft) and then at Catterick (2m 3f, soft), when 3.5 lengths clear of Return Ticket. Rises 9lbs for today’s race, amog tougher opposition, but looks to have more scope for improvement over fences and can go close to grabbing the hat-trick this afternoon
