1:30pm Downpatrick (4 Places) PAT’S PEARL – 20/1.
Not in the best of form, but she has won here previously (May 2019) and placed on four occasions too. Fell and was pulled-up in latest runs, but with the McConell yard picking up five winners, over the last two weeks, including a 150/1 shot, an each-way shout at this price looks worth a tickle here.
3:55pm Ayr (5 Places) ABSTEMIOUS – 12/1
Has not won so far in eight starts, since joining Nigel Tinkler’s yard, but has looked consistent and on his latest, finished third, less than half a length behind race rival Alben Spirit at York (6f, good), twelve days ago. Cheek pieces fitted today and a middle draw gives them tactical options. Contender, if can get a good run.
5:40pm Kempton (4 Places) KODIELLEN – 20/1
Winner over a mile at Chelmsford (AW) in February, taking the spoils by a shorthead, finding good pace during the run-in. Very much a place bet at best here, but a good pace over this 7f trip, could go in his favour. A small bet at a decent price, look the way to go.
