Plenty of experience for this 9yo, but without a victory since winning at Fairyhouse over 2m 5f (heavy). Form since, has not been great but there have been shoots of recovery this year, when placing second at Punchestown (3m, soft to heavy) in January and more recently a fourth in latest at Thurles (2m 6f, soft), when 10 lengths off the winner. Capable of a better showing today and offers a decent each-way selection.
1:50pm Cheltenham (5 Places) SOUTHFIELD STONE – 10/1
Winner of a novice chase at Cheltenham here, over 2m 3f (good) in October and followed with a second over C&D (good to soft) four weeks ago, behind Protektorat. Only his second handicap race today and capable of showing a bit more in what is a very competitive field. Each-way backing looks the obvious way forward here, with the five places on offer.

Busy 5yo, who has already chalked up 64 races in his career, with a return of just four wins, but nineteen place finishes. In the six runs over the last month, he has a record of 526193, including a win at Wolverhampton (5f, a/w) and a third in latest, five days ago over the same C&D. Looks in good nick all round and capable of being in the mix yet again here.
