Has been pulled-up in three of the last six starts, but when completing a trip has done well, with a third at Plumpton (3m 1f, heavy) last March and most recently, a victory at the same venue (2m 3f, soft) last month. Up 8lbs, but has won previously off of higher marks and has a decent opportunity here.
3:50pm Bangor (4 Places) VANDERBILT – 6/1
Picked up successive seconds at Newton Abbot in the Summer (both 2m, good), but has gone off the boil, with a seventh at Warwick (2m, good), before falling at Taunton in latest. Switch to testing ground is likely to favour him here and a better performance is expected, with each-way chances at a stretch.
6:30pm Chelmsford (4 Places) BROTHER IN ARMS – 10/1
Last win came in August 2019, but he has been very consistent throughout, sitting in and around the places since then. Was a little disappointing at Kempton in latest, when sixth, his poorest result in the last eight starts, however a return to a more favourable 1m 2f trip should see him right back up there. Places beckon, if on form.
