Took a surprise maiden win, last time out at Hereford (2m 3f, soft) as a 50/1 shot, beating Bring The Action by a nose in a thrilling contest. Odd to see him extended back up on trip, but drier conditions and first time cheek-pieces may help. Up just 2lbs and should feature.
3:50pm Carlisle (3 Places) SKIPPING ON – 11/2
Six wins in twenty-eight starts, with the most recent of those coming in December, when at Warwick (2m 4f, soft), beating Lickpenny Larry by 1.75 lengths. Was pulled-up at Ayr, on elevation in class, before picking up a fifth placed finish over C&D. Comes in a pound higher and wears a first time visor. Improvement needed, but capable of featuring in a relatively close contest.
4:15pm Thurles (4 Places) BALKOS – 6/1
Eight race maiden, who did pick up a third at Punchestown (2m 4f, soft to heavy) back in January of last year. Has struggled since and there is a question mark over today’s 2m trip too, however he has been strongly backed, but place claims look the more likely in truth
