Seven race maiden, who has been on the cusp of placing in a race, throughout. A fifth in his penultimate start at Wincanton (1m 7f, soft) on Boxing Day, saw them 2 lengths off a place finish, before being pulled-up in latest, also at Wincanton (2m 5f), although that was a first run in three months, along with the extended trip. Cheek pieces added today and can finally improve to grab a place today.
4:05pm Cork (5 Places) RAILWAY MUICE – 11/1
Thirty race maiden, who has at least placed in five of those runs, including at Wexford (2m 4f, good), when a length behind Tiantu. A fourth last time out at Cork (2m 3f, good), shows him to be in decent enough form, having finished 3 lengths adrift in the October of last year, with only the gap between then and now potentially causing concern. Capable of going a step closer here today.
5:05pm Cork (5 Places) CHENERY – 12/1
SIx races and picked up a maiden victory last time out, when taking the spoils as a 20/1 shot at Gowran Park (2m 4f, heavy), beating the joint favourite, Pictures Of Home by half a length. That could have been more in reality and the 7lbs rise looks about right, here. Decent chance, in an open contest.
