Three wins in nine starts, with the last of those back in February of last year, when half a length clear of Ashington (1m 7f, good to soft). Has been off form in three runs this season though, with a drop down in class hoping to reignite his results. Tough task in this contest, but can get involved, if able to improve.
5:30pm Dundalk (4 Places) CREST OF A WAVE – 8/1
Picked up only his second career win over C&D (1m 2f) in his penultimate start, when a 20/1 shot and half a length clear of Everyhouronthehour. Followed on with a fourth in latest, again over C&D and based off of those recent runs, looks capable of going close once again.
7:00pm Dundalk (4 Places) HARBANAKER – 17/2
Eight race maiden, whose two place finishes at this venue, came a year ago (7f – 1m). Despite that, he is relatively consistent around the Dundalk course, while a drop back in level should also encourage his chances. Places look most likely, but maybe worth a small tickle in the each-way market.
