Just one win in seven career starts, which was back in February 2019 at Fontwell (2m 1f, good to soft). Made seasonal return at Plumpton (1m 7f, good) in October, but clearly needed the run and the longer trip, finishing eleventh and and in excess of 30 lengths adrift. That all changed at Taunton (2m 7f, soft) a week ago, however when second to Nobel Josh and staying on well. Headgear today is hoped to aide his hopes further and he looks a solid each-way bet here.
2:52pm Market Rasen (4 Places) LAMMTURNER – 17/2
An inconsistent performer across her fifteen race career, but showed what she is capable of, when second at Sedgefield (2m 5f, good to soft) a month ago in a Mares handicap hurdle. Faces a tougher test, racing against the boys this time around, but another showing similar to that Sedgefield run, puts her firmly in the mix for the victory. Sean Quinlan is onboard again, for the first time in 21 months.
4:30pm Chelmsford (4 Places) BLAIRLOGIE – 15/2
Busy runner over the Summer, picking up four places in eight races this year, including a third over C&D in October, when 6 lengths back from race rival Bad Attitude in that contest. He followed up with a fifth at Kempton (1m 2f, a/w) seventeen days ago, with a slow break potentially ruining a better run and although first time headgear could help, each-way claims look the best option for this talented Laura Mongan runner.
