3:10pm Gowran Park (4 Places) MOLLY KAYE – 16/1
Finished third of sixteen on last race over flights at Ballinrobe (2m, 1f, yielding) back in April of 2019, finishing 2,25 lengths adrift of the winner at a 2lbs lower mark. Been racing on the flat since return, with some reasonable performances, including a fifth at Killarney (1m 6f, yielding) in July. Pretty unexposed over hurdles and can cause a surprise this afternoon. Each-way backing looks a solid option.
4:40pm Hexham (4 Places) GRAYSTOWN – 13/2
Has struggled with his jumping, with mistakes tending to take the wind out of his sails, however he has looked better in the two runs so far this season, finishing third at Market Rasen (2m 7f, good) in July, albeit 20 lengths back, before a recent fourth at Perth (2m 4f, good to soft), finishing 7.5 lengths back from the winner and just 1.25 lengths behind race rival King’s Wharf. Drops another pound this afternoon and can be in the mix, if he keeps his jumping errors to a minimum.
7:15pm Dundalk (4 Places) SILK CRAVAT – 11/2
Consistent performer, who looked in strong form last month, finishing second at Cork (7f, good to firm), just a head behind Petticoat Rule, before following up with a fourth over C&D, 1.5 lengths adrift of the winner and just a neck behind race rival Chagall. Favourable draw and good form, can see him go close.
