Four wins in thirteen starts, including in penultimate start at Leopardstown (3m, soft) in December, when beating The Bosses Oscar by a length. Despite a poor run in his last start, that win still holds plenty of weight and it would not be a surprise to see him go close.
3:40pm Cheltenham (5 Places) FILS D’OUDAIRIES – 12/1
Won at Navan (2m 4f, heavy) on second career start, when 3.25 lengths clear of Braeside and has given a couple of respectable displays in two Graded starts, placing second in a Grade 3 at Punchestown (2m 4f, heavy) and then fifth in a Grade 1 contest at Leopardstown last month. Improvements are expected after only four starts and could well feature in this open contest.
4:50pm Cheltenham (5 Places) MUSICAL SLAVE – 12/1
Last victory came fourteen months ago at Exeter (2m 3f, soft) and has shown consistency since, with a couple of place finishes, including in latest at Ascot (2m 7f, soft) amongst Listed company last month, albeit 16.5 lengths behind the winner, Captain Chaos. Needs to jump better as wasn’t fluent that day, but looks worthy of some place backing, with minor each-way potential.
