In preparation for Cheltenham next week, we want to bring you up to speed with some improvements we’ve made to betting services on the site. These went live today so feel free test them out.
Preferred Bookmaker
The preferred bookmaker tool (top of right hand column) now gives you the choice of selecting the odds from 18 different bookmakers and exchanges.
Our default bookmaker is currently Paddy Power and their odds are shown wherever live odds are shown across the site. Changing the bookmaker using this tool changes the live odds feeds across the site to those supplied by the chosen bookmaker.
Bet Cruncher (formerly called Bet Calculator)
We know this tool is popular with our users, so we’ve given it a new name and re-engineered it making it faster and more intuitive. Use it to calculate the return on a range of bets from singles up to Lucky 63s. The only thing it can’t do yet is make your horses win!
Odds Converter
Ever get confused between fractional or decimal odds? We do – so we’ve solved the issue by introducing an odds converter to the user tool kit. Fill in the odds you have and our tool will give you the equivalent!
Odds Changes
On the racecards, and elsewhere on the site where they are displayed, live odds will normally be shown in a dark blue font. However, in future, where you see odds displayed in an orange coloured font, these odds are lengthening and in light blue, they are shortening.
Placing A Bet
Where ever you see live odds on the site, you’re only one step away from placing a bet. Click the Bet Now button next to the odds on the horse your interested in and a betslip window appears. You’re now on that boomaker’s site and after submitting your username and password you can place a bet.
Alternatively, if you have no account, but would like to proceed, most betslips include an open account option.
Best Available Odds
At any time you can click through to GG Odds to check out the best odds on a favoured horse or race. Our new odds comparison site is accessible from everywhere around the GG site by: clicking specific banners, clicking a button marked Prices or navigating via the Odds Comparison option under Betting in the left hand menu.
