George Boughey’s colt was a well-beaten third of seven at Brighton (7f, good to firm), fifteen days ago, ending up some 7.5 lengths adrift of Coco Jack. Certainly has improvement in his sights in this contest, having hopefully got rid of any greenness and has been backed in on the boards too. Looks set to battle Ray Vonn for the spoils.

Sir Mark Prescott has been patient with this runner and was finally rewarded at the sixteenth time of asking, when bagging a maiden win at Brighton (1m 4f, good to firm), last time out, by 5.5 lengths, just six weeks ago, ahead of Sisterandbrother. Unsurprisingly goes in as strong odds on favourite for a similar contest this afternoon and it will take a big effort to stop this filly making it a double.
4:50pm – LIBERTY BREEZE
Eleven race maiden, who finally took the spoils for the first time, here over C&D, a fortnight ago, beating Desert Dream by 1.25 lengths. Comes into this competitive contest with a 3lbs rise, but still looks good enough to give narrow favourite, Dandys Gold a real test. More to come, now with that victory under her belt..
