The first of this enhanced double is Samcro, who goes in as favourite for the 2:30pm at Leopardstown, the Ryanair Hurdle. This looks to be a straight fight between the favourite and Melon for the victory, with the remaining four runners doing well to be in contention at the end of this two mile trip. Since winning the Ballymore at Cheltenham back in March, Samcro has failed to finish in one and then had two second places, so surely it’s time a bit of good luck comes their way.
Later in the 3:00pm at Newbury, Champ is the short priced favourite to take the win, in a competitive two and a half mile hurdle race, which features seven runners, who have all picked up wins in the past. The favourite has won their last three outings, including over the same course and distance last time out and looks destined for a fourth appearance in the winners circle on the bounce.
