Looks a case of when, rather than if this Hugo Palmer runner will win, having placed second in the last three starts, including the Woodcote Stakes here at Epsom (6f, good) at the beginning of the month, when 1.25 lengths adrift of Legend Of Xanadu. Looks a straight fight with Benacre for the win this afternoon and he can finally take a maiden victory.

Five wins in fourteen and secured a four timer back in the Autumn, which included a victory at Yarmouth (6f, good to soft). The latest win came at Pontefract (6f, soft) back in April, when 4.75 lengths clear of Panama City on seasonal return, but has dropped off since. Needs to bounce back with a return to form and this looks to be a strong opportunity for this George Boughey runner.
8:15pm – LEROY LEROY (each-way)
Four-time winner, who has placed second on ten occasions too. The last win for Jim Boyle came back in March of last year, when beating Engle’s Rock by a head at Doncaster. After a lull in form, he has looked near to his best, when second at Brighton and third at Goodwood recently, but will be looking to improve, after a seventh of thirteen, last time out at Windsor (1m 2f, good to firm). Runs for the first time this year, without headgear, with hopes of a return to form. Each-way claims overall.
