Race 1 (1:15pm) DR KANANGA

Three wins and two places in five career starts so far, for this Ben Clarke runner and comes in looking for a hat-trick, having sealed the double at Sandown (3m, soft) last time out, when 12 lengths clear fo Poppa Poutine. That was a very impressive performance and he can negate the 10lbs rise here to either take the win or go very close.

Race 2 (1:45pm) FLEMENSTIDE

This is another runner, who has had a strong start, with two wins and two places in five runs, with Paul Nicholls’ charge, missing out on a double on return from a two month break at Wincanton (2m 5f, soft), when 2.25 lengths adrift of Unanswered Prayers. More to come, now upped in trip and Harry Cobden rides for the first time here. Strong claims and expected to be in the mix.

Race 3 (2:20pm) MISTER MARBLES

Useful Philip Hobbs’ runner, who has placed second in two of the four runs so far, missing out by 1.25 lengths at Ludlow (1m 7f, soft) in the latest, sixteen days ago, in a first run since a wind-op. No reason to suggest a similar performance cannot be achieved again here, with Tom O’Brien continuing onboard.

Race 4 (2:55pm) MY SILVER LINING

Placed fourth on debut, here at Exeter back in December (2m 2f, soft), before Emma Lavelle’s charge, returned to action last month, to beat Adonis’ runner-up, Teddy Blue by 7.5 lengths at Lingfield (2m, heavy). Makes first handicap start in this contest and easily one of the leading contenders for the victory.

Race 5 (3:30pm) PER VINO VERITAS

Four race maiden, whose record reads 56F-66, although the latest did arguably bring their best performance, when just 4.25 lengths adrift of the winner, Novus Aditus at Taunton (2m 3f, good to soft), nineteen days ago. Has claims if able to build upon that performance, while the experience of Brendan Powell will be valuable too.

Race 6 (4:05pm) LONGSHANKS

Just the one career win so far, which came a year ago at WIncanton, but has been on the premises in runs since, including a second at Ffos Las (2m 3f, soft) four weeks ago, when 8 lengths to Soldier Of Destiny. Philip Hobbs’ runner is on a good mark for this handicap contest and could step up once more to take a victory, with places at very least expected.
