Showed improvement, when fourth on return to action at Curragh (1m 2f, good to firm), when fourth of eighteen last month, before stepping up and taking a maiden win at Limerick (1m 4f, good), when 12 lengths clear of Yulong Pearlisland. A second in the Group 3 – Bahrain Trophy at Newmarket continued the excellent form and now this gelding tackles hurdles for the first time here. Clear favourite, with Champ Kiely the main threat, assuming he takes to flights quickly.

Two wins and two places in five starts so far, for this Barry Connell trained gelding. He returned after a fourteen month lay-off back in February, picking up a second at Naas (1m 7f, soft), some 8 lengths adrift of Bring On The Night, before going one better at Fairyhouse (2m 4f, yielding) in April, when 4 lengths clear of Glenglass. Makes handicap bow today and should be suited by the ground and this extended trip. Big player and arguably the one to beat..

Dermot Weld’s charge made a strong debut back in March, when second at Naas (1m, yielding), before returning to the same venue six weeks later and taking the spoils over a reduced 7f trip (yielding to soft), beating Solar Breeze by a shorthead. She disappointed in her last start at Gowran Park, when fifth, but did face some interference when exiting the stalls and was playing catch up for the remainder of the race. Return to a mile should suit and has strong claims, if able to settle quickly.
