Philip McBride’s filly is a four race maiden, whose best performance was a sixth of thirteen at Leicester (6f, good to firm), when 5 lengths adrift of winner, Blatant back in May. She placed fourth of five last time out, when attempting a 7f trip, again at Leicester last month and returns to 6f this afternoon. Blinkers are tried in this Nursery Handicap contest and looks to have potential, despite Queen Eyot being thr strong favourite. Each-way claims, if pricing drifts, would be ideal.
Today’s Racecards
4:00pm – WILLEM TWEE
Made a decent impression, when second on the all-weather at Newcastle, back in May and comes into this contest off the back of a turf double at Doncaster (both 6f, good to firm), including a 0.75 length win ahead of She’s The Danger in the latest last month. Returns to the all-weather this afternoon and it remains to be seen whether he can transfer that form across from turf. Big favourite here, with the rest some 11/2 bar.
4:30pm – HASHTAGMETOO (each-way)
Last victory came at Bath, back in September 2021. Despite that however, Jamie Osborne’s mare has been in the frame in nine of ten races since and has placed in three overall. A recent fourth of nine last time out at Chelmsford (1m 2f, a/w), saw them 3.5 lengths adrift of Asraabb a week ago and she looks another solid each-way selection in what looks a relatively open contest.
