MILAN BRIDGES made a useful debut at Punchestown last March in a point contest, placing sixth of twelve and then returned to action at Lingfield (2m 3f, good to soft) in November for Paul Nicholls’ yard, taking the spoils by a length, ahead of Marble Sands, staying on strongly in the final furlong and keeping the second at bay, relatively comfortably. Looked to have needed the longer trip, which this contest will provide and looks to have decent claims for a double here.

MISTER FISHER is one of four runners to take part in the big race of the weekend, the Silviniaco Conti Chase. Nicky Henderson’s charge is in prime position to take the victory here. The former Peterborough Chase winner, missed out in the Oaksey Chase back in April, when just a neck behind Frodon at Sandow and returned to action, with a disappointing run in the King George on Boxing Day. However, this looks a solid contest for him to bounce back in, with a return to form arguably being enough to take the spoils here.
