Two wins in four starts for this Henry De Bromhead trained runner, with a victory in her latest run, at Navan (2m 5f, heavy) in the Listed – Apple’s Jade Mares Novice Hurdle, beating Lunar Display by half a length, nineteen days ago. Likely to make presence felt once again in this contest, with Racheal Blackmore continuing onboard.
Race 3 (2:30pm) THE WALTZER
Six race maiden, but this Gordon Elliott trained runner has been in strong form of late, picking up successive seconds at Punchestown over 2m 4f, with the latest in a Maiden Hurdle, eighteen days ago, when 7 lengths behind odds on favourite, Ramillies. Has strong claims, especially with Eye Van now a non-runner.
Race 4 (3:05pm) STOLEN MOMENT
Picked up maiden and only win some nine races ago, with recent form taking a dip. She did however, look to be heading in the right direction in the latest, at Punchestown (2m 7f, yielding) at the end of January, when fifth of twenty-one, albeit 16.5 lengths back. The bright point from that performance, was she proved to be the best of those runners that were held up and a similar race here, should see her yield a better result, in a relatively weak contest.
Race 5 (3:40pm) ASK AND ANSWER
Added a second career win, in his penultimate start, when taking the spoils at Navan (2m 5f, heavy), beating Nathaniel’s Dream by a nose. Unfortunately he wasn’t able to build on that in the latest, when carried out by a loose horse at Clonmel, however he was going well that day and warrant another chance this time around.
Race 6 (4:15pm) EL BARRA
Three wins and three places in eight starts for this Willie Mullins trained performer, with the latest of those coming back in April of last year. In two return runs this season, he has placed second at Fairyhouse and most recently third, once again at Fairyhouse (2m 1f, soft) in a beginners chase and looks to have a bright future over fences. Strong claims overall here.
