Race 1 (1:10pm) AWAY WIT DA FAIRYS
This Alice Haynes runner is a six race maiden, who has placed third in the last three outings and picked up places in the last two runs, including last time out at Chelmsford (1m 2f, a.w), six days ago, when half a length adrift of winner, Kanahura and ahead of race rival, Cicely. There is little to suggest he cannot repeat that sort of performance again and he should feature heavily in this contest once again.
Race 2 (1:40pm) HOOVES LIKE JAGGER
In fine form at the moment, with Tony Carroll’s runner, winning the last two outings, both at Wolverhampton, with the first of those some twenty-five days ago, when edging Scarborough Castle by a neck, before returning to make it a double five days ago, when half a length clear of Red Bond.
Race 3 (2:10pm) EBTSAMA
Made a solid debut, when fifth of eight at Newmarket (6f, good to firm) back in June, before showing improvement at Kempton (7f, a/w) on the all-weather in August, finishing a 6 length second, adrift of the impressive Fast Attack, who has since won a Group 3 contest. She comes back after a six month break and based on those runs, should be able to improve further still, assuming she is stripped fit enough for this contest. Strong claims overall
Race 4 (2:40pm) ALJARYALL
This Joseph Parr contender is another in strong form, with a win and three places in the last four starts. The victory came five weeks ago at Kempton (1m 3f, a/w) when beating Helian by a shorthead. That was followed by a third at Southwell and a second last time out at Lingfield (1m 5f, a/w), when losing out by a shorthead, this time around to Moel Arthur. Harry Burns claims 5lbs this time around and that should be enough to put them in the box seat.
Race 5 (3:15pm) FOX POWER
This 6-yo had two wins in twenty-four starts, before adding a third career victory last time out at Wolverhampton (1m, a/w) ten days ago, beating Headingley by 1.75 lengths in the Class 3 contest om the first start for Mick Appleby. This pacey runner could well put the pressure on early in the contest and even with a 5lbs penalty looks to have major claims in this contest.
Race 6 (3:45pm) MY DUBAWI
Mark Johnston’s runner was a decent four race maiden, before striking gold at Kempton back in October, in a 7f Nursery contest, when narrowly beating Odisseo by a shorthead. He returned from a break to then make it a double at Wolverhampton (7f, a/w), when upped in level, ahead of Kennet by 2.75 lengths. A rise of 8lbs looks a difficult task to overcome, but on current form, its not out of the question for him to make it a hat-trick.
