FRIDAY – HOT POT TREBLE
Once more, we have a trio of favourites in Friday’s Hot Pot, with the first being Gallaher’s Cross who goes in as odds on favourite for the 12:45 at Ascot. As mentioned above, the Nicky Henderson horse has plenty of expectation on his shoulders, but in fairness, this looks to be a straightforward win for the six year old.
Later in the 3:30pm at Uttoxeter, King Roland is the 1/2 favourite for the race, a mile and seven NH Flat Race. The market is pretty adamant that the debutant will ease home, with the remainder of the field at 6/1 bar. A big margin of victory is likely in heavy conditions.
Finally, Thats Not Me looks to have the toughest test of this trio, going in as narrow favourite for the 4:30pm at Dundalk, over five furlongs. A win and four places in the last five starts, show a consistency many trainers would wish for and once again the Anthony McCann horse should be in the hunt for another win here, although Fairy Fast could be the spoiler in what should be a close run race.
