Only win so far, came at Beverley (1m 2f, good) back in Aprill, with this Charlie & Mark Johnston trained runner going close since, with three third placed finishes and a second last time out at Sandown (1m 6f, good to firm), when narrowly missing out by a neck to Sovereign Duke, sixteen days ago. Likes to set the pace upfront and if given that opportunity, is expected to be in the mix once again.

3:10pm – BIRKENHEAD
Six wins and twelve places in forty-one starts for this useful Paul Midgley runner, who won last time out at York (5f, good to firm) in a big field contest, beating Leodis Dream by a neck and also race rival Eeh Bah Gum by 7.5 lengths. Rise of 4lbs isn’t ideal, but this gelding should still be competitive in this smaller field event.
4:10pm – MONHAMMER (each-way)
Eleven race maiden, who is getting closer, having placed third in the last two runs for Linda Perratt, with the lastest at Ayr (7f, good) seventeen days ago, seeing them finish 1.5 lengths behind Biplane and just lacking the pace to really make an impact. His consistency should see him feature again, with places most likely.
