2:40pm – LEADING COMPANY
John Quinn’s charge comes into this contest, off the back of a Beverley double (both 7.5f, good to firm), firstly beating Kiss N Cuddle by a neck and then finishing 1.5 lengths clear of Jim’s Cracker six days ago, who reopposes once again. A penalty makes this a little more difficult, but further improvement is quite likely this afternoon and looks set to make it a treble.

3:50pm – GWEEDORE
Four time winner last season and has been strong this term, with two victories and two seconds so far. The last of those wins came at Ayr (1m, good) at the turn of last month, when 2.25 lengths ahead of Orbaan. Has had a couple of very poor runs since, including a last of seven at Ascot, when 10 lengths adrift of the very same Orbaan, but it’s hoped a first time ride from Billy Garritty will bring a return to past form. Risky selection, but well worth it on past runs.
4:56pm – RED BOND
Winless run, now stretches to twenty-two since taking the spoils back in January 2020, but this Keith Dalgleish charge has looked near his best in recent outings, placing third of seven at Ayr (1m 2f, good to soft) in June, before a second of nine over C&D, twelve days ago, finishing well clear of race rival, Cuban Cigar, but no match for winner, Arrange. Potential for further improvement here, if continuing the good form and looks a decent each-way selection.
