Day one of the Christmas meeting features two Graded contests, with the Knight Frank Juvenile Hurdle, featuring a twelve runner field, lead by strong favourite and Gordon Elliott trained runner, Fil Dor, who has won on both starts in Ireland so far. Of those expected to challenge, Lunar Power, Ben Siegel and Britzka** look the most likely to feature.

These look the clear standouts of this contest and riveting contest is expected.

With three more days of top action, the Leopardstown Christmas Festival continues through to midweek, with some top notch contests.
Monday brings us the Paddy Power Chase, the Future Champions Chase the Paddy Power Rewards Club Chase, which brings a pair of Willie Mullins classy runners, in Energumene and Chacun Pour Soi taking on Henry De Bromhead charge, Envoi Allen
Tuesday is Savills Chase day, with the mighty A Plus Tard looking to retain the title, he won last year, ahead of Kemboy and Melon, who both re-oppose once again, while *Galvin will be looking to add to his recent Champion Chase win at Down Royal. The Christmas Hurdle also features that day as a handy supporting act, with Flooring Porter and Klassical Dream** the leading runners in that contest
Wednesday may be the final day of the meeting, but its by no means the worst, with the Grade 1 – Neville Hotels Chase the precursor to the big event of the day, the Mathieson Chase, which features strong favourite, Sharjah, trained by Andrew Slattery, with Gordon Elliott’s Zanahiyr, waiting in the wings to be the potential spoiler.
