John Quinn’s charge comes into this contest, off the back of a Beverley double (both 7.5f, good to firm), firstly beating Kiss N Cuddle by a neck and then finishing 1.5 lengths clear of Jim’s Cracker six days ago, who reopposes once again. A penalty makes this a little more difficult, but further improvement is quite likely this afternoon and looks set to make it a treble.

5:54pm – CIANCIANA (each-way)
Only victory came back in December, when taking the spoils at Southwell (1m, a/w), when some 2.5 lengths ahead of Vaxholm. Has been unlucky since, finding just one too good in four of the seven starts afterwards, including the two latest runs at Nottingham and Newmarket (both 1m 2f). Reverts back to the all-weather this evening and has found some market interest. Bunker Bound is the very strong favourite here, but places looks a solid selection for this Brian Ellison charge.
7:04pm – DESERT LAND
All four career wins came under Jim Boyle’s tutelage, with the last of those coming back in December, at Lingfield (1m, a/w). Struggled in a couple of runs since, before placing third on his last start, again at Lingfield (1m 2f, a/w), some 2.75 lengths adrift of Fascinating Lips. Makes debut for Keith Dalgliesh this evening and has strong claims off a good mark.
