Newcastle – Tips For Your Free Bets!
1:15pm – GHOST RIDER
Twice winner early on in his career, including over 7f here at Newcastle. He grabbed a couple of second placed finishes towards the back of last season, including at Chelmsford (1m 2f, a./w) in his last start for Mark Johnston. Has made a promising start under James Horton, with a second at Wolverhampton (1m 1f, a/w), when half a length adrift of Daheer, before ticking over with a third of five, here last time out (1m 2f, a/w), behind Possible Man. Up in trip and wears a visor, which will hopefully help his slow starts. Genuine chances overall.
Today’s Racecards
2:55pm – SENSE OF DUTY
Willie Haggas’s runner is very much the class act here, having made it three wins on the bounce, last time out at Haydock (6f, good), when she won the Listed – Cecil Frail, five weeks ago, beating Flotus by a neck. She has shown quick and significant improvement to be a genuine contender here and assuming she handles the all-weather, it could well be four in a row. Spycatcher looks the main threat here.
2:55pm – EVALUATION
A win and three places under Sir Michael Stoute, but has been revelation for Keith Dalgliesh since switching to his yard in March, winning all four starts so far, including his latest at Musselburgh (2m, good), when 2.25 lengths clear of Baileys Derbyday, timing his run perfectly and taking the lead in the final 100yards or so. A 5lbs penalty isn’t ideal, but has plenty of claims in this open contest, with Zealandia and Mellow Magic expected to be among the biggest rivals.
