5:45pm – EMARATY HERO

Two wins and seven places in nineteen career starts for this Grant Tuer runner. Has been in strong form of late, only finding one other too good, in second placed finishes at Haydock (1m 6f, good to firm) and York (1m 6f, good to firm), before a third of eleven at Doncaster (1m 4f, good to firm) last time out, three weeks ago, when just 0.75 lengths adrift of winner, Scampi. In good form and acts on Tapeta too, so has genuine claims here, in a competitive contest.

6:45pm – GALIAC

Two wins and three places in eleven starts and has shown real consistency so far this season. The last victory came at Newmarket (7f, good) back in June, when a neck clear of Out From Under. Has since placed third on two occasions, before a second last time out at Doncaster (1m, good to firm) in a Class 3 contest, when 1.75 lengths adrift of winner, System. Narrow favourite and that form should back up his chances here.

8:15pm – VINCE LOMBARDI

Picked up just a single vicotry under the guidance of Sophie Leech, before moving to Grant Tuer’s yard, running well on debut, after a 267 day break, to place third at Newcastle (7f, a/w), behind a very impressive winner, in Canny Fettle. Attempts at higher classes, failed to get more out of him, before returning back to Class 5 level and winning last time out at Carlisle (6f, good), beating Sir Benedict by 2.75 lengths. The drop back to 6f clearly suited and looks to have another strong opportunity under a penalty.
