Winner here on the Rowley Mile (6f, good to firm) back in May on debut, when 4.75 lengths ahead of Believing, before stepping to Group 3 level, in the Albany Stakes at Ascot (6f, good to firm) and placing an impressive second, 1.75 lengths behind Meditate, three weeks ago. Right in the mix here.

3:)0pm – SPIRIT MIXER (each-way)
In strong form this year, scoring a treble at Chester (1m 5f, good) in May, when winning a Class 3 contest by 2.5 lengths. Has since stepped in level, placing fourth of seven and getting bumped in the process again at Chester, before a second of twenty in Northumberland Plate at Newcastle (2m, a/w), when half a length behind Trueshan. Larger price than normally looked for, but merits interest after that latest run.
4:10pm – LA MAQUINA
Won this race last year, but has not been able to add to the four career victories since, although towards the backend of a run of races over in Sakhir, Bahrain, George Baker’s gelding did place second in a smart handicap over 9f. No issue with a returning from a long break, as did so to win this very race and very much in the hunt for the spoils in this contest.
