(1) (1:15pm Royal Ascot) DAARIK was 7/1, now 3/1
Finished last on only turf run, on debut at Nottingham in May 2018. Has been lightly raced since, with three victories and a second in four starts since, including a win by 0.75 lengths ten days ago at Newcastle. Quick turnaround may be an issue, considering the rarity of starts, but with Frankie Dettori onboard for the first time today, there has been plenty of backing and is the strong favourite here.

(2) (1:50pm Royal Ascot) TEREBELLUM was 6/1, now 10/3
Another Frankie Dettori ride has been backed in overnight, with Terebellum’s win in the Dahlia Stakes ten days ago, very much fresh in the memory for backers. Two wins in three starts show a great talent, with more potentially to come. Sits just behind Circus Maximus in the market and a close battle is expected.

(3) (3:00pm Royal Ascot) MOHICAN HEIGHTS was 6/1 now 4/1
Won a maiden at Leopardstown on debut for Fozzy Stack, before a big money sale saw him transferred to David Simcock’s yard. Won the listed Stonehenge Stakes at Salisbury on stable debut in last run back in August. Tougher test this afternoon but unexposed, but the 1m 4f should suit. Mogul is the horse to beat here, but he could go close.

(4) (2:25pm Royal Ascot) PASSION was 14/1, now 6/1
Won a maiden at Cork, before disappointing in the Mayhill at Doncaster, when seventh. Went in as favourite in a Listed race at Navan last time out, but failed to justify that, when fourth last week. Extended 1m 4f should suit moreso, but needs to show improvement.

(5) (1:50pm Royal Ascot) MOHAATHER was 14/1, now 15/2
Was a 33/1 winner in the Group 3 – Horris Hill back in 2018 and returned from a break to win the Greenham Stakes (both at Newbury). Struggled in higher class company, when fifth in the QE2 Stakes here back in October, although heavy ground that day, didn’t help at all. Open to a better run today, but will need to be at his best to claim the victory.
