Trifecta Of The Day
Today’s featured race for our Trifecta of the day is the Group 1 – St. James’s Palace Stakes at 3:00pm. The leading three in the market look head and shoulders above the remainder of the field and this looks a good opportunity for a Tote Superpool bet.
The first of the three is favourite Pinatubo who won all six races last year, including the most recent of those, the Dewhurst Stakes in October, which saw them finish ahead of race rival Wichita.
However, the roles were reversed in the last meeting, when Wichita finished second, ahead of his rival in the 2000 Guineas a fortnight ago. The Aiden O’Brien runner has flattered to deceive at times, with just two victories from five starts, but he does finally look to be coming into his own here, with another battle expected with his great rival.
The last of these three is Palace Pier who has returned in style, having been out with injury for a period. The John Gosden horse returned to action two weeks ago at Newcastle and looked near his best, when winning by 3.25 lengths. Despite this step up in class, he looks the most likely of the rest to challenge the big two here.
