Debut third at Yarmouth (7f, good) in May, before stepping up to Class 4 level and placing second here over C&D three weeks ago, when 2 lengths adrift of Dance In The Grass. He was slowly away that day and had to play catch up, which probably halted any genuine chances of the win. This son of Dubawi certainly has the ability and this Charlie Appleby runner could well step up and take the spoils, now with some greenness out of the way.

A dozen wins so far for this Willie Haggas runner, with the latest over in Australia, when taking the Group 1 – Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Randwick (1m 2f, good) back in April of last year. He has been lightly raced since, with a second in the Eclipse here last year, among the highlights. This now 8-yo will still give a strong account of himself, but maybe, just maybe, age could be catching him up, but I’m still going for the win.

Consistent performer for Charlie & Mark Johnston, with five places under his belt, but it took seven races to finally bag a maiden win, on his return to action in April, taking the spoils at Beverley (1m 2f, good), some 2.5 lengths clear of Kihavah. In good form over the last month, grabbing third placed finishes at both Goodwood (1m 6f, soft) and Ayr (1m 5f, good), with more expected in this contest.
