1:15pm – SAAHEQ
This Amanda Perrett gelding had been struggling in recent runs, beating just one opponent in the last three races, however a drop back to Class 5 seemed to do the trick, when taking the spoils last time out at Lingfield (5f, a/w) some fifteen days ago, beating The Defiant by a shorthead. He did win from 13lbs higher a year ago and it’s hoped that, this recent performance will see him bounce back in style, now back up in class.

1:50pm – ARREST
This looks a very strong maiden, with some top yards and pedigrees represented, with the team Gosden runner, Arrest, the pick here. This Frankel colt, out of Nisriyna cost £440,000 as a yearling and is a half-brother to several winners, including Spring Loaded and Dinozzo. Dam was unraced, but there is a lot to like here and it would be of little susprise to see him successful in debut here.
3:35pm – SCARLET DRAGON
Now 9-yo, with eight wins in sixty-two starts overall and has started to show some good form in recent runs, since switching to Eve Johnson Houghton’s yard, placing fourth of seven in the penultimate start at Newbury (1m 4f, good), before placing second in the latest at Windsor (1m 2f, good to firm), ten days ago, when just a shorthead to Carp Kid. Comes into this contest off the same mark and William Buick continues onboard. Big claims on recent form.
