There are NINE races under Skybet’s extra place race offer across the days meetings. All races are subject to minimum runner requirements and offering four places at one fifth odds, unless otherwise stated.

3:40pm Gowran Park (4 Places) CLUAN DARA – 10/1
One win in 44 starts, doesn’t bode well, but he has placed ten times across his career and is in decent form with a run of 664, before placing second at Clonmel (2m, soft) in latest, three weeks ago, when half a length behind American Image. Running 3lbs out of the handicap tis afternoon and can potentially go close, if able to continue on from that previous run. Solid each-way claims.
6:15pm Newcastle (5 Places) CALL ME GINGER – 7/1
Only victory came 14 months ago at Redcar (5f, good to firm), but he has shown some good performances at higher grades this year, including a second in a Class 2 at Hamilton (6f, good) in June and more recently a second in a Class 3 at Doncaster (6f, good) in September, when a length behind Bernado O’Reilly. Has been a little disappointing in latest couple of starts, but the drop down in level should help. Solid claims if can find past form.

7:15pm Newcastle (5 Places) NIBRAS AGAIN – 13/2
In strong form of late, placing third at Nottingham (5f, good) and then Kempton (5f, a/w) in September and October respectively, before taking the victory over C&D, when 0.75 lengths clear, three weeks ago, beating race rivals Big Lachie and Modular Magic. He has strong chances here and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him pick up a double.
