1:30pm Punchestown (4 Places) WISHMOOR – 17/2
Three successive second place finishes at the beginning of the year, including when just 4.25 lengths adrift in March at Navan (3m, heavy). Was pulled up four weeks later at Thurles, albeit with no major issues, so returns fresh and with a win under his belt on this course. Strong chances if continues the good form.
2:46pm Sedgefield (4 Places) CUBA RUBA – 17/2
Just one win in twenty starts, but has been on solid form of late, with a run of 443, before a disappointing sixth over C&D (2m 1f, good to soft) twelve days ago, finishing 19 lengths adrift. Makes hurdle debut in cheek-pieces this afternoon and could run significantly better, although the handicapper has been a little harsh. Places beckon at best here.

4:00pm Wolvehampton (4 Places) VARENNA STORM – 9/1
Three career runs, with a record of 669, with the earlier runs, showing a little promise over 7f. The latest of ninth at Chelmsford last month, was over an extended 1m 2f, with the drop back to a mile looking the more likely to aide a better run this time around. Each-way prospects, if can find a better performance over this distance.
