2:15pm York (5 Places) ADAAY DREAM – 20/1
Promising start to his career, when winning on the all-weather at Newcastle (6f), in June, before showing his talents on the turf at Newmarket, when second on good to firm, missing out by a neck to Star Of Orion. Both of those were at Class 5 level, so will need to show more, but has a chance with five places on offer. Lack of experience on softer ground makes for an interesting selection.
2:45pm York (6 Places) DEEP INTRIGUE – 25/1
Went close in a Listed contest at Lingfield, back in March of 2019, when beaten by a neck, after winning a Class 2 at Newcastle. Had found it tougher to transfer that all-weather form to turf, before taking the spoils in a Class 3 at Newmarket (7f, good) back in June. Has had a couple of decent runs since and despite a large price, looks capable of featuring in the places. Unproven over softer conditions, so rain could be a factor, but looks in good nick.
