2:45pm York (4 Places) LAUDED – 14/1
Winner on debut at Haydock (6f, good to soft) in a Class 5, taking the spoils by 4.5 lengths, but has unsurprisingly found it tougher, since elevating to Group 2 level, finishing seventh in th Coventry Stakes at Ascot, when weakening in the final furlong. However, he impressed in the Richmond Stakes at Goodwood most recently, when pipped by a neck to Yazaman for second, as they reacquaint themselves once again here. Tough challenge and will not want any more rain to be in with a solid chance of places or better.
4:50pm York (5 Places) MON CHOIX – 12/1
Comes in looking for a hat-trick, although that will require improvement, amongst a very competitive contest. Won a Class 4 at Windsor (1m, good to firm) eighteen days ago, before justifying his odds on status, when winning by 4.5 lengths at Sandown four days later. Wears a first time tongue tie for this race and with Oisin Murphy continuing onboard, places looks a very realistic proposition.
