Lightly raced last season, winning twice (1m 2f and 1m 6f) in three Class 4 appearances, on heavy ground and the all-weather. Returned to action in June, finishing third in a Class 2 at Newbury (1m 4f, good) and reappeared at the same track, when [second again] over 2m on good ground, thirty days ago, just 0.75 lengths off. Takes on a tougher challenge in terms of contenders here, but capable of getting involved. Useful price, with five places on offer.
4:20pm York (4 Places) GLAMOROUS ANNA – 16/1
Comes into the race looking for a hat-trick, after 5f, Class 3 victories at Windsor (good to firm) and most recently at [Goodwood] (good), when beating Newyorkstateofmind by 1.5 lengths. Elevates to Class 2 company here and will face a stiffer test, especially rising 6lbs after the Goodwood win, although jockey, William Cox’s 3lbs claim will be a very welcome bonus. Stong chances, if can continue the recent form.
