3:15pm Newmarket (4 Places) ROCK BOY GREY – 11/1
Went close on penultimate run at Newbury (6f, good to soft), missing out by a neck to Whelans Way and struggled on Ascot’s stiff 7f trip, when eighth on good ground. Based of those, softer ground looks the most suitable and the overnight rain will have helped, while a return to 6f also looks the correct move.
4:15pm Dundalk (4 Places) MYTHOLOGIC – 10/1
Won here over a mile back in March and has since gone close, including in his previous to last run, when third at Curragh (1m, good to yielding), a length behind Fame And Acclaim. Enjoys the all-weather, with that win and a place in three runs so far, although will need to find more here, with Mirann the big favourite. Strong each-way hopes.
4:45pm Newbury (4 Places) SHAUYRA – 18/1
Won at Newcastle on the all-weather (1m) last September and returned to action with a third on her handicap debut at Pontefract (1m 2f, good) in June, just 3.75 lengths behind the winner. Most recent run was a little disappointing at Newmarket when last of six, with the 1m 4f trip not really suiting. Drops back to 1m 2f this afternoon and is still relatively unexposed. Good price for each-way backers and has a chance.
