Race 1 (1:00pm) LORD VADER

After a couple of relatively average runs, this John Ryan runner picked up a second at Kempton (7f, a/w) fifteen days ago, when a length behind Clase Azul Ultra, in a Class 5 maiden. He could have done better, but was poorly placed for the run-in and can improve to take a maiden victory on handicap debut.

Race 2 (1:35pm) INTERVENTION

Had just one win in twenty-six start, before sealing a double with wins at Southwell (7f, a/w) and in latest at Wolverhampton (6f, a/w), when beating Elland Road Boy by 2.5 lengths, a week ago. Handicapper hasn’t caught up with his as yet and another victory looks on the cards once again, as he looks for the hat-trick.

Race 3 (2:10pm) CARPE FORTUNA

Made a solid career start, when Robyn Brisland’s runner took a 66/1 runner-up spot at Kempton (7f, a/w), twenty-six days ago, when 2 lengths behind odds on favourite, Tranquil Night. Significant improvement is expected in this follow-up run and anything less than a place finish, would be a disappointing run.

Race 4 (2:45pm) IMPEACH

Strong form so far in 2022, with two wins and a place in four races, with all those positive results coming over C&D , including when missing out by a neck to Puerto De Vega last time out. Conrad Allen’s charge has been afforded a deserved month long break and should arrive fresh and raring to go once again, with another strong run on the cards

Race 5 (3:20pm) HOMERIC

Made a solid debut, when third at Wolverhampton (1m 1f, a/w) in early December, when 4.75 lengths adrift of the winner, before struggling to find improvement a fortnight later, placing seventh of thirteen, over a mile at Kempton. The extended 1m 2f looks much more ideal here and an improvement is likely, with a similar performance to his debut run, expected. Solid claims and should be in the mix.

Race 6 (3:55pm) PEERLESS PERCY

Finished last season in strong form, with two wins and a second, before returning to action four weeks ago, over C&D on debut form Ali Stronge, placing fifth of seven, but clearly needing the run for fitness sake. Big improvement is likely now stripped fitter and a return to earlier peak form is very much expected. Strong claims and should be challenging for the victory in this contest.
