One of the big races of Saturday, is at Doncaster, with the Grimthorpe Chase and I’m looking to a former Ladbrokes Trophy winner, to return to winning ways on Saturday. Cloth CapHe made big strides last season, which included the aforementioned Grade 3 – Ladbrokes Trophy win at Newbury (3m 1f, good), when 10 lengths clear of Aye Right, before following up with a Listed victory at Kelso (2m 7f, good to soft).
He has struggled this season so far, but arguably has had better performances than the bare results state, including a sixth, when looking to retain his Ladbrokes Trophy, last November. He does need to show a bit more, but with conditions expected to suit on the day, he looks a strong alternative to favourite Le Milos.

Liverpool v West Ham United (5:30pm)
Liverpool take on West Ham United at Anfield, with the Reds looking to keep the pressure on leaders Man City, while the Hammers will be looking to boost their Champions League aspirations with a victory.
Liverpool are unbeaten in fourteen matches so far and beat Norwich 2-1 in the Cup, with a rotated side. West Ham had a recent five game unbeaten run, ended by Southampton, also in the cup, losing 3-1 at St.Mary’s. The Hammers did win 3-2 in the last meeting at the London Stadium, but have not won at Anfield on the last six visits and this looks another fruitless journey up to Merseyside for the East London side.

Manchester City v Manchester United (4:30pm)
The Manchester derby takes place at the Eithad on Sunday, as City host United in a big game for both clubs, outside the confines of their local rivalry. City are looking to keep Liverpool at bay at the top of the Premier League, whilst the Red Devils will be trying to maintain their Champions League place, as both hope to grab all three points.
Man City have bounced back from the surprise loss to Spurs, with successive wins over Everton and Peterborough, with one defeat in sixteen overall. Man United are unbeaten in eleven games, but have against Atletico and Watford in their last two matches played. Interestingly the away side has won the last three fixtures between the clubs in 2-0 victories, whilst no more than one side has scored in the last six. I expect this to change, with both sides showing plenty of attacking intent, with the “noisy neighbours” taking the spoils and the bragging rights.

Napoli v AC Milan (7:45pm)
A huge game in Serie A takes place on Sunday evening, as Napoli and Milan meet at the Stadio Diego Armando Maradona. Both sides sit on 57 points, with Napoli ahead on goal difference. With Inter just two points further back, this match could go someway to deciding the Scudetto.
Napoli had gone four games without a win, prior to the 2-1 victory away to Lazio, while MIlan are unbeaten in seven, but have drawn their last three games, including a goalless draw with rivals Inter. Napoli have won the last two meetings 1-0, but with so much at stake and both sides not quite firing on all cylinders, a tense, tactical affair is expected, with arguably both teams happy to avoid defeat at all costs.
