Decent, if unspectacular runs for this six race maiden, with a best of fourth at Navan (1m, heavy) back in March, when 3.25 lengths adrift. Has since struggled to a 6th and 7th placed finish in blinkers, so a hood tried this time around. Trainer does well at Killarney and it’s hoped a recent gelding operation can garner some improvement. Shortened considerably on the markets and could well end his maiden streak this evening.

Comes in as a six race maiden, who picked up successive seconds at Wolverhampton (1m 1f, a/w) and then Leicester (1m 2f, good to firm) in the penultimate start. Struggled last time out, over 1m 4f at Newmarket, with a drop back likely to help today. Back in solidly, with a competitive performance expected this time around

Four wins in twenty-nine start, with three of those on good ground or faster. Struggled for fitness on seasonal return at Beverley (7f, good) in May, before improving to a fifth at Pontefract (6f, good to firm), 7 lengths behind Mr Wagyu, who has since gone on to win at a higher class. Needs to find a little more today, but a kinder draw and Harry Russell’s 5lbs claim have sparked some warranted interest in Ollie Pears runner.

A four race maiden so far, whose best performance came at Beverley (1m, good to firm) back in April, when third of five and 7.75 lengths behind winner, Unknown Pleasures. The drop back in distance this evening should help, while a tongue-tie is retained. Needs to show more here, with places at best likely, but not easy to ignore the backing she has had.
