Has a terrific record over C&D, with 1123 in four starts, including a third on reappearance from a nine month break, thirteen days ago. Drops 2lbs for today’s outing and will be sharper for that previous run. Has strong chances here and should be in the mix.

(2) (12:30pm Hamilton) SCARBOROUGHDEBUT was 16/1, now 5/1
Struggled on debut run at Doncaster, when seventh of eight runners. Looked green and will no doubt improve now with experience and has been backed in well overnight. One to keep an eye on.

(3) (2:00pm Hamilton) CALL ME GINGER was 14/1 now 11/2
Novice winner back in September at Redcar by 2.75 lengths, but has not been able to repeat that form in handicaps since. Has improved since seasonal return, with a sixth place at Ayr ten days ago, over 6f and could continue that progress today, in a relatively open contest.

(4) (3:15pm Uttoxeter) *NOTWHATIAM was 50/1 now 6/1
Winner of five races under Dan Skelton’s yard, but has not found anything like that form, since switching to Alan Berry so far, finishing adrift in most of those outings. Last of ten in previous run at Hamilton on the flat and some 32 lengths back. Has had plenty of backing overnight on return to flights, but each-way claims at best.

(5) (1:15pm Uttoxeter) CAWTHORNE was 20/1, now 8/1
Fallen twice and pulled-up in three of four races over flights, although all of these have been over soft ground or worse. Makes chase debut today, which on form doesn’t bode well, but good conditions may well bring them out of this slump. Each-way places look to be best bet.
