Has progressed well so far, culminating in victory at Sandown (1m 1f, good) in a Class 2 contest, beating Asiaaf by 0.75 lengths in July. Has hit a bit of a wall, since, with successive fifths at Goodwood and Chester, but enjoys soft ground, winning three of three on this surface, including at this venue, so has a strong chance here.

(2) (4:35pm Redcar) CASSY O was 10/1, now 9/2
Decent, if unspectacular form in first six career starts, but has won the last two races, taking the spoils at Ayr (7f, good to soft), when a 33/1 winner last month and then repeating the feat, just a day later, at the same venue (1m, good to soft). Comes in to this race with a 7lbs penalty, but there looks to be more to come and another strong run looks likely.

(3) (4:00pm Redcar) WELL FUNDED was 13/1, now 5/1
Consistent runner, who has slowly dropped down in mark. Picked up a third place finish at Catterick (1m 5f, good),in penultimate run in August, 4.5 lengths behind the winner, before stepping up a class at Ayr (2m, good) last time out and struggling to an eight placed finish. Drop back in class and trip will help as will condition, while cheek-pieces are fitted once again. Genuine chances this afternoon.

(4) (1:15pm Tipperary) BOPEDRO was 12/1, now 8/1
Busy runner, who is under his third trainer inside a year. Won a couple of times for Jim Bolger, before switching to the UAE, with disappointing runs over the Winter. Returned home and had a decent debut for Jessica Harrington, when tenth at Leopardstown (7f, good), but only 4 lengths off the winner. Expect more to come from this capable runner, with each-way claims the better option.

Winner at Clonmel (3m, heavy) back in February, n what was just his fifth hurdle contest, but has struggled in three runs, since switching to Laura Morgan’s yard. A soft ground trudge through the mud, may just suit this outsider and looks worthy of a small place bet at most.
