Has earned the 9lbs rise, but on timings suggest there could be a little more to eeke out. Backed in to favourite status and should be challenging for the spoils

Three wins in five starts and sealed a treble in the penultimate start, when 1.25 lengths ahead of Seasett at Haydock (1m, heavy) in May. Has been absent since finishing eighth of twenty-nine runners in the Britannia at Royal Ascot (1m, good to firm) in June, but softer conditions can suit, whilst he comes in off the same mark. Solid claims and backed in well, with the weather in mind.

Joseph O’Brien’s runner picked up a third on debut at Killarney (1m, yielding), back in July, before stepping up to take a victory at Galway (1m, good) nineteen days later, when beating Stone Age by a neck and finishing 6 lengths ahead of the rest. Although he is the second string here, behind Maritime Wings, he clearly has strong claims here and has seen plenty of interest. Each-way claims looks the way forward.

Solid record of six wins and eleven places in forty-nine starts for this 7-yo, with the latest victory coming back in April, at Nottingham (1m 6f, good to firm), when a length clear of Lostwitheil. He has since placed third in the Chester Cup and second in the Northumberland Plate and despite a couple of difficult runs in the last two starts, has a big opportunity to bounce back in this contest. He has two wins and three places at this venue, with Jonny Peate’s 7lbs claim adding extra appeal too

Five race maiden, who has placed once so far, when an 80/1 third at Beverley (5f, good to firm) and 4.75 lengths adrift of the winner, Ionian Sea. A recent sixth of eight at the same venue, suggests form isn’t ideal, but he was trapped on the outside and a hard pace wasn’t to his liking. Interest on the boards and places look possible.
