Six career wins and eight places for Mike Smith’s 6-yo and after some indifferent form, improved last time out to take the victory over C&D (good) twelve days ago, when beating Wise Eagle by a shorthead, with the pair a further 4 lengths clear of the rest, including race rival, Euro Implosion. Tougher task under a penalty, but capable of more, if building upon that run.

Last of his six wins came in the World Pool Dash at Epsom (5f, good to soft), when 1.5 lengths clear of Only Spoofing, back in June. Has dropped off since, with a record of 579 and was 6 lengths behind winner, Mr Wagyu at Glorious Goodwood, although faltered in the closing stage. Expected to bounce back here, but a big ask to beat Lord Riddiford. Places look the more realistic option

Stan Moore’s charge certainly has the pedigree and has a chance in this relatively weak contest. Backed in from 20’’s with places looking ideal.
