1: Buckhorn George (1:40pm Wincanton) (3 votes)
Winner over C&D (soft) in March, when beating Mickey Buckman by a short head and returned for seasonal / handicap debut, seventeen days ago, whens second at Plumpton (2m 4f, soft), finishing 0.75 lengths behind Amour De Nuit. Strong claims and can justify narrow favouritism this afternoon.

2: Dollnamix (2:42pm Wincanton) (3 Votes)
Form dropped off towards the back end of last season, but has returned from a four month break in good form, finishing second at Huntingdon (2m 3f, good), although had no answer for winner, Eyeofthescorpion, who was 8.5 lengths clear. Returned to the same venue nine days ago, over 2m 4f (good) and went one better, beating Ermyn’s Emerald by 6.5 lengths and finally taking a first victory at the fourteenth attempt. Looks around 4lbs well in under penalty and is the clear favourite.

3: Presenting Percy (1:20pm Thurles) (2 Votes)
Has beaten race rival, Monalee comfortably in the past and was in with a genuine chance, before falling two from home in last year’s Cheltenham Gold Cup in his final start for Pat Kelly. Has since switched to Gordon Elliott’s yard and finished fourth on stable debut, in the Grade 1 Champions Chase at Down Royal three weeks ago, 6 lengths adrift of race winner a stablemate, The Storyteller. Jumping can be a little erratic but still looks the best equipped to take on Kemboy this afternoon.

4: Outcrop (2:33pm Market Rasen) (3 Votes)
There or thereabouts in recent runs, finishing fourth on first start for ten months at Carlisle (2m 4f, good), before elevating in class and finishing second at Sedgefield (2m 3f, good to soft), some 9 lengths behind Equus Dancer. Past hurdle wins have come on good ground, so looks suited here, while a 1lb rise is inconsequential, if maintain strong form of last few outings.

5: Scardura (3:12pm Wincanton) (2 Votes)
When able to keep the jockey onboard, Neil Mulholland’s charge has ran well, finishing second at Stratford (2m, good) in July and winning at Newton Abbot (2m, good) in September, when 2.5 lengths clear. However, he has unseated his rider in two of the last three starts, including Cheltenham in latest last month. Ease in grade today, will help, but may need a little more this afternoon.
